Job Summary
Calculate GILTI, FDII, Subpart F Income, and US foreign tax credits while preparing US international tax forms such as Forms 5471, 8858, and 1118. Analyze period-to-period changes in taxable items, identify causes, and perform research on tax legislation impacts. Assist with amended US tax returns resulting from foreign tax changes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for return calculations. Participate in the tax technology initiative to transform tax processes and workflows. Support special projects as needed. This role is part of KLA's domestic compliance tax return team focused on US taxation of international income.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of combined Big 4 and/or industry experience
- Focus on income and international tax compliance
- Relevant international tax experience
- Technical understanding of GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, and FTC
- Experience with the Thomson Reuters OneSource software suite (Income Tax, DataFlow, Workpapers, etc.), or comparable software
- Ability to use and navigate the SAP system
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
- Effective ability to apply best practices to organize and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as with collaborators
- Multifaceted, meticulous, and analytical problem solver with goal towards efficiency and operational improvement
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years' experience
- Masters' Degree plus 3 years' experience
- PhD plus 0 years' experience
