Job Summary
Manage federal and state tax return filings, payments, and billing for the Tax Services department while overseeing daily operations for all tax administrators. Prepped and file individual and gift tax returns, process fiduciary income tax refunds, and handle 1099 reporting activities. Maintain historical records of compliance in iManage and administer systems for revenue tracking and billing in CCH or SF. Mentor new hires on filing procedures, tax programs, and software, and assign short and long-term projects to track progress. Collaborate with Co-Heads of Tax Services on process improvements and departmental initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related administrative experience supporting tax professionals
- Familiarity and working knowledge with standard office practices and personal computer software, such as Word, Access, and Excel
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff
- Must be highly organized with excellent time-management skills
- Must be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
- Ability to work in a collaborative style and environment
- Must pay attention to details and have the ability to follow up and follow through
- Ability to be a proactive, self-starter, who understands the details within a much larger context
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a business-related discipline
- Experience with trust accounting system, CCH, Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax
