Job Summary

Prepare and file Business Personal Property Tax returns using PTMS, oversee data integrity, and reconcile Notices of Value while determining appeal strategies. Direct property tax payment processing and serve as a subject matter expert providing guidance to internal teams and responding to complex technical questions. Act as a primary liaison with taxing authorities, support tax audits, and lead special projects including process enhancements and system improvements. Provide advanced technical support on sales tax matters and interpret law changes using RIA Checkpoint to communicate risks and recommendations to management. This role requires independent judgment, drives process improvements, and ensures compliance across the tax function.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 6-8 years of relevant work experience
Associate's degree in Accounting with 7-9 years of relevant work experience
Experience with PTMS software
Business License experience
Proficiency with 10-key
Experience using Access
Experience with on-line tax and accounting research tools, such as Thompson Reuter's products (Checkpoint, RIA etc.)
