Senior Tax Accountant

Job Summary
Manage and support the Americas region's direct and indirect tax compliance obligations by coordinating with external providers to prepare federal, state, local, and foreign filings. Gather, validate, and consolidate financial and operational data to deliver tax returns, estimated payments, apportionment calculations, and credit studies. Reconcile tax general ledger accounts, research and resolve tax notices, and maintain calendars and workpapers for timely accuracy. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to assess transaction tax implications and contribute to cash tax forecasting and process improvements. Ensure all filings meet Kelvion's Standard of Excellence while adhering to global business principles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of corporate tax experience, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm
- Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax compliance
- Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax compliance
- Experience managing complex tax matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Knowledge of indirect taxes, including sales and use tax, property tax, and business license compliance
- Ability to analyze complex tax matters, identify potential risks or opportunities, and develop practical solutions
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities
- Ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-tax professionals
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing tax regulations
- Ability to remain resilient and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience working in a global environment with exposure to cross-border tax issues
- Experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing business
