Job Summary

Collaborate with subject matter experts, business partners, and stakeholders to identify training needs, performance gaps, and learning solutions. Design and develop effective learning programs using instructional design principles, creating instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended solutions including facilitator guides, job aids, and assessments. Organize complex information into clear, engaging content that aligns with educational goals and organizational needs. Manage multiple learning projects from inception to completion, overseeing content development processes and utilizing agile methodologies. Support the full learning lifecycle, including needs analysis, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement, while maintaining learning assets within the Learning Management System.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, curriculum development, project management, organizational development, educational technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience editing, writing, designing, and developing instructional materials
  • At least 5 years of experience in courseware, curriculum, training, or technical documentation development and design
  • Experience managing course or curriculum development projects from end to end
  • Ability to manage the full learning lifecycle, including needs analysis, design, development, delivery support, evaluation, and continuous improvement
  • Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and curriculum development practices
  • Ability to assess business needs and translate them into effective learning goals, objectives, strategies, and deliverables
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and consult effectively with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, subject matter experts, and colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize complex information into clear, concise, and engaging learning content
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Exhibits a high level of emotional intelligence, including the ability to give and receive specific, constructive feedback
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with learning development technologies such as Adobe, Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, or similar tools
  • Technically inclined and able to adapt to new technologies with ease
  • Skilled in designing for a variety of formats and mediums, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, SCORM-compliant eLearning, video, web, and print-based materials
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
  • Local to the Kansas City Metro Area

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience with the construction industry
  • Experience with Articulate 360 or equivalent authoring software
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency
