Job Summary
Senior Tailings & Mine Waste Engineer responsible for designing and evaluating tailings storage facilities and integrated water management systems, leading geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations, and providing strategic input on permitting and risk management. Will oversee multidisciplinary projects from concept through execution across Canada and globally, mentor junior engineers, champion sustainable mine waste practices, and build trusted client relationships while representing WSP in regulatory discussions and industry forums.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in mine waste, tailings, or geotechnical engineering
