Job Summary
Senior Systems Support Engineer responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, stability, and availability of complex application systems. Contributes to incident management and DevOps practices, uses monitoring and logging to identify root causes, and applies continuous delivery principles to deploy and evolve software. Acts as a mentor to less experienced peers, engages with cross-functional teams and clients, and adheres to security and cloud best practices while solving client problems. Requires strong experience with Java, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), scripting (Python/PowerShell), Kafka, SAP integrations, Docker, CI/CD tooling, Datadog, and Agile methodologies. The role involves debugging complex systems, generating actionable reports, and leveraging technology thinking from the Technology Radar to drive value.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Java
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
- Practical experience with Kafka
- High-level understanding of SAP integrations
- Understanding of architectures including monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices and serverless
- Strong debugging and triaging skills
- Experience with SQL databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines)
- Experience with Datadog for monitoring and alerting
- Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested code
- Familiarity with Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban)
- Advanced English and ability to collaborate with global teams
- Willingness to mentor junior consultants
- Willingness to be part of a rotation- and need-based 24x7 team
