Senior Systems Software Engineer

Job Summary
Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs using Python (and preferably Go) to power our AI agent platform. Partner with ML engineers to integrate large language models (LLMs) into production systems while owning feature development from ideation to launch. Responsibilities include improving system reliability, scalability, and participating in on-call rotations for production maintenance. Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of backend and frontend systems, thrive in ambiguity, enjoy working with emerging AI technologies, and balance user needs with technical constraints.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of infra/backend engineering experience
- Good understanding of database technologies, like SQL, Postgres, etc.
- Strong intuition for product balancing user needs with technical constraints
- Comfortable working across the stack, from frontend to backend systems and data pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud architecture and deploying to cloud, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Terraform
- Able to work independently and handle ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating or deploying AI/ML models into user-facing products
- Background in real-time or conversational applications
- Prior experience in high-growth startups or developing products from 0 to 1
