Job Summary
Lead a team of engineers and meet with program leadership to identify staffing needs and rotations. Coordinate pre-boarding and onboarding for new employees, including generating job postings and conducting interviews. Update, maintain, and improve requirements and documentation for development and production efforts. Model system development processes using Cameo and participate in failure investigations. Conduct trade studies and present results to customers while troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis. This role supports SE efforts on programs within the Land & Air Defense Systems department at RTX in Tucson, Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience working in the areas of system integration & test
- Experience with the Performance Development process
- Experience working in a matrix environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Engineering, Math or Physics
- Prior experience managing direct reports in an engineering environment
- Prior experience with conducting job interviews and evaluations
- Prior experience evaluating staffing levels
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team
- Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system
- Experience with Raytheon's Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc.)
- Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills
