Job Summary
Supervise, coordinate, and perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software. Provide direct support for day-to-day operations by evaluating system utilization, monitoring response time, and detecting and correcting operational problems. Troubleshoot physical and logical network issues using measurement hardware, communication protocols, and virtualization technologies. Participate in planning, technical review, and implementation for new network infrastructure for voice and data communication. Maintain network infrastructure standards such as TCP/IP, diagnose complex communication problems, and ensure systems remain current with approved patches. Assist with certification, system accreditation, SOP composition, and Quick Reference guide creation for users.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizens
- active TOP SECRET clearance
- Project with a Major Prime
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of experience
- Must be available for ONSITE
- Supervise, coordinate and/or perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems
- Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems
- Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network
- Participate in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems
- Perform systems management and integration functions
- Exhibiting proficiency with virtualization technologies and network administration
- Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP
- Provide technical consultation, training and support to IT staff
- Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems
- Responsible for design, deployment, evaluating, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues
- Ensures systems are current with approved patches
- Assists with certification and system accreditation tasks
- Composes SOPs
- Composes Quick Reference guides for users
