Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise IT systems across a multi-site manufacturing environment. This hands-on, senior role requires deep technical expertise, operational ownership, and effective partnership with business and technical teams. Own escalation support for Tier 3 incidents, monitor system health, and drive permanent fixes. Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise initiatives including migrations, upgrades, and modernization across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. Design and support solutions across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 within hybrid and multi-cloud contexts; administer Entra ID, MFA, and identity governance; support Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, and Defender; lead cloud migrations and post-acquisition integrations. Manage Windows endpoints and server environments (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2022); maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and core identity services; work with VMware/Hyper-V; design hybrid architectures; ensure security-first architectures aligned with Zero Trust; support regulated environments including GCC High, Azure Gov, AWS GovCloud, and FedRAMP/ITAR. Also responsible for automation, SOP creation, documentation, and cross-team mentorship; location: Merrimack, NH with a hybrid work week (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The role emphasizes collaboration with software development and digital teams to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years delivering enterprise IT solutions end-to-end
- 7+ years diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues
- 5+ years hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 enterprise environments, including upgrade planning and mixed deployments
- Experience handling Windows Server environments up to Windows Server 2022
- Deep experience with Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune, Defender, and Exchange
- Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and hybrid identity
- Experience designing and supporting hybrid, multi-forest, multi-tenant, and multi-cloud architectures
- Hands-on experience supporting regulated government cloud environments, including Microsoft 365 GCC High, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, and environments aligned to FedRAMP and/or ITAR requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to document clearly and prioritize competing workstreams
- Mentor and support other IT and technology teams
