Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain system architectures across applications, infrastructure, and platforms while providing technical leadership to engineering teams. Analyze system requirements and translate them into scalable, secure solutions, ensuring performance and availability through proactive monitoring and optimization. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, security, and stakeholders to align system design with business needs, support cross-environment integration, and develop technical documentation including architecture diagrams. Participate in Agile delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Establish scalable architectures, improve system stability, and provide mentorship within the first 90 days. This role supports cross-functional delivery teams on federal IT modernization initiatives in regulated environments.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or related roles
- Strong experience with system architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
- Experience with infrastructure, networking, and system integration concepts
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 100% Remote (U.S.-based)
- Background check required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal government contracts or regulated environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure system design
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, or similar)
