Job Summary

Create and execute test suites for integrating and verifying system design functions in coronary artery disease or renal denervation devices. Use critical thinking to solve complex systems interaction problems and define interface requirements between software, firmware, hardware, and mechanical systems. Participate in cross-functional teams to make timely decisions on major project objectives, support design trade-offs, and drive product development aligned with business needs. Execute systems engineering activities including identification, planning, monitoring, and execution of assigned tasks while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Computer, Software or Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related degree program
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience integrating and verifying system design functions
  • Or advanced degree with 2 years of experience integrating and verifying system design functions
  • Or PhD with 0 years experience integrating and verifying system design functions
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Medical Device Industry experience
  • Understanding and experience in design, development, and testing of complex medical devices systems
  • Understanding of and experience with developing system requirements, verification protocols, and test methods for embedded medical devices
  • Experience with IEC 60601-1 and ISO 13485
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience with QMS requirements
  • Experience with secure by design principles
  • Basic knowledge of software development and computer programming
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements management, task management, and medical device regulation
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, cross-functionally, and with key people external to the organization
