Job Summary
Analyze user requirements, concept of operations, and high-level system architectures to formulate system requirements specifications. Lead design and development activities by providing technical guidance for integrating requirements, design, and technology. Guide users in requirement formulation, conduct feasibility studies, and develop alternative system concepts and physical architectures. Generate operational concepts describing interactions between the system, user, and environment. Assess program risks, determine failure probabilities, and quantify consequences using an approved risk management plan. Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components. Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board meetings, design reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination. Implement comprehensive Service-Oriented Architecture solutions and support DoD Certification/Accreditation processes. Manage system requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Top Secret Clearance/SCI with Full Scope Poly
