Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer position supporting a Government/SAFe-aligned HPC program. Responsibilities include applying systems engineering principles across the lifecycle, ensuring technical integrity of work and deliverables, and serving as the Solution Train Engineer (STE) within SAFe to coordinate multiple Agile Release Trains and suppliers. The role requires expert advisory capabilities to government program leadership, facilitation of large-scale solutions, and hands-on experience with Agile/DevSecOps practices, Lean Portfolio concepts, and multi-ART planning. The candidate will work in Fort Meade, MD, supporting PAC’s mission with data processing systems, high-performance computing, mission repositories, and analytics, and must hold active TS.SCI clearance with FSP through MD.
Required Qualifications
- Active and current TS.SCI with FSP through MD
- Deep understanding of SAFe principles, practices, and competencies at the Solution Train level
- Expert knowledge of Agile Release Train operations and coordination
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and DevSecOps practices
- Understanding of Lean Portfolio Management and Value Stream concepts
- Experience with multi-ART coordination, dependency management, and solution level planning
- Knowledge of system requirements management, interface control and configuration management
- Experience with requirements traceability, verification, and validation approaches
- Proficiency with configuration management and version control systems
- Experience with collaboration tools supporting distributed teams (MS Teams, Confluence, SharePoint)
- A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience
- A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience
- A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience
