Job Summary

Conduct full spectrum systems engineering tasks including requirements analysis, system and interface design, integration, testing, and documentation using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Manage SE standard methods, processes, and tools to execute engineering activities, third-party coordination, and system assessment while collaborating with Program Managers, technical leads, and government counterparts. Resolve technical issues, risks, and external dependencies through collaborative planning and stakeholder participation. Maintain systems engineering documentation and diagrams via MBSE tools, establish review entry/exit criteria, and monitor technical variances to ensure successful product delivery. Requires Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years experience or Master's with 6+ years in systems engineering, MBSE tool proficiency, and Active DoD Top Secret security clearance. Onsite work in Huntsville, Alabama.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, systems engineering, computer science, or related technical field
  • 8-12 years of experience in systems engineering
  • Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with employing MBSE approach and tools (NoMagic, Rational, or similar)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering concepts and applying these concepts to government systems engineer protocols and procedures (SRR, CDR, PDR, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama

Desired Qualifications

  • Displayed ability in the modeling, design, assembly, integration, and test of complex systems (commercial or government) who can handle the challenging development environments
  • Communication skills (oral and written) to advise, counsel, and/or guide people on complex technical matters
  • Creative problem solver and demonstrate a broad ranging technical management and team development experience
  • Familiarity with RF and RADAR systems
  • Experience with the following tool suites: Matlab/Simulink Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI Poly clearance
  • Master's degree in systems engineering
