Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer within Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike division, responsible for defining systems engineering strategies to drive requirements and verification for core products (Altius, Anvil, Bolt, Ghost); designing and implementing automated system-level integration tests (SITL/HITL) and simulations, developing testing strategies for system/software requirements, autonomously handling broad/ambiguous requirements, coordinating test events across software/hardware, ensuring compliance with standards (NATO UAV, MIL-STD-882E), and guiding cross-functional teams while maintaining ownership of delivery; travel up to 25% for test field events and eligibility to obtain/maintain active U.S. security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- 5+ years experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Rust for analysis and simulation
- Experience in safety-critical industry with software safety fault/hazard analysis and requirements-driven software verification and validation strategies
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for software deployment and scalability
- Proficiency in engineering standards into processes, ability to translate high-level problems into actionable requirements and verification plans
- Experience writing testable system-level and software-level requirements
- Proficiency in large-scale data modeling, data analysis, and visualization (e.g., Palantir Foundry, Tableau, AFSIM)
- Experience with AI/ML and statistics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willing to travel for test field events up to 25%
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline
- Active clearance status
- Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence
