Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer responsible for on-site integration and testing at the Reston facility. Role includes architectural design for robustness, flexibility, fault-tolerance, and scalability; collaborating with Developers and government/customer representatives; improving build, integration, and test processes; and supporting CI/CD, build/install/test automation, deployment, and defect tracking. Required to work with containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) and cloud technologies, and to analyze anomalies and log messages to pinpoint issues. Desirable experience with message brokers, key/value stores, Ansible configurations, and CI/CD tooling; ability to create architectural diagrams and produce documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in software or systems engineering or related work
- Container and container management experience (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) and familiarity with cloud technologies
- Ability to read and understand order to debug issues and interpret log/error messages
