Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer role focusing on DEM and Demand Response in a managed services context. You’ll develop deep technical ownership of complex DEM/Demand Response systems, deploy/configure/upgrade IntelliSOURCE components, support multi-layered architectures across Linux, databases, and applications, participate in customer testing and validation, troubleshoot cross-layer issues, document technical details, and mentor teammates. The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams (US, Hungary, India), minimal travel, agile/service-delivery operations, and a hybrid work schedule. Preferred familiarity with electric utility DER/DR concepts and service-management tooling; salary range is $96,000–$165,000 with eligibility for a bonus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in a Linux-based production environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong database administration expertise with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with database replication architectures (primary/replica, master/slave) and high-availability concepts
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and database troubleshooting in production systems
- Experience debugging complex issues using application and system logs across distributed environments
- Working knowledge of scripting for automation and diagnostics (Python or similar)
- Ability to work collaboratively across global teams and communicate effectively
