Job Summary
Design, provision, and operate heterogeneous system hardware, software, and infrastructure across Linux, Windows, and cloud environments (GCP, AWS) while ensuring high availability and alignment with corporate policies. Define best practices and provide expert guidance for server systems, Active Directory, DNS, PKI, and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible. Lead technical research, drive process documentation, and offer architecture guidance to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for server maintenance and after-hours support.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a large-scale (2000+ VMs) environment with exposure to Linux, Windows and VMWare ESXi 7+
- Hands-on (production) experience in any Cloud provider (Google required)
- GCP experience is required
- Expertise with managing GCP using IaaC technologies like Terraform
- Disaster Recovery/High Availability experience is required
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI Infrastructure and Group Policy management
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI Layers, well-known protocols)
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
- Eager to learn and train and develop others
- Strong attention to detail, comprehensive problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently or under minimum supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in regulated environments is an asset (SOC, ISO27001, NIT, PCI) including escalations, change and incident management
- AWS and Azure Experience is an asset
- Creating new procedures and policies do help further enterprise maturity
