Job Summary
Develop mission-critical, NSA-certified cybersecurity devices by conducting requirements analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design. Execute systems integration and testing while writing CONOPS, specifications, and test plans to derive software design and code. Lead trade studies and define scope, schedule, and expectations for complex projects with minimal guidance. Utilize Systems and Test tools in lab environments to debug and validate high-speed data systems. This role supports the Taunton Cyber Engineering team within General Dynamics Mission Systems, focusing on developing practical solutions for national security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 8+ years of job-related experience
- Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship

- Agile experience
- Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Full Stack experience
- Extensive experience with DOORs
- Long development lifecycle and product lifespans, requiring maintenance and regular technology refresh
- Requirements Analysis and Management
- Functional Analysis, performance analysis, and Systems design
- Trade Studies
- System integration and testing
- Linux
- Networking experience including Layer 2 and Layer 3
- Experience working in a fast-paced product development environment
- Passion for designing complicated systems and working on problems of diverse scope
- Ability to define the scope, schedule, and expectations for the work you execute
- Shows initiative on assignments and executes projects with little guidance and can provide technical direction and leadership
- Ability to write CONOPS, Specifications or Requirements and derive into software design, code, test plans, and then execute Systems level testing/debugging
- Proficiency with Systems and Test tools supporting testing in a lab environment
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
