Job Summary
Develop mission-critical NSA-certified cybersecurity devices by conducting requirements analysis, functional analysis, and systems design for custom in-house software. Execute system integration, testing, and debugging while writing CONOPS, specifications, and test plans to support long development lifecycles. Lead trade studies and define scope, schedule, and expectations for complex system projects with minimal guidance. This role is part of the Dedham Cyber Engineering team at General Dynamics Mission Systems, focusing on high-speed data and cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 8+ years of job-related experience
- Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Agile experience
- Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Full Stack experience
- Extensive experience with DOORs
- Linux
- Networking experience including Layer 2 and Layer 3
- Experience working in a fast-paced product development environment
- Passion for designing complicated systems and working on problems of diverse scope
- Ability to define the scope, schedule, and expectations for the work you execute
- Shows initiative on assignments and executes projects with little guidance and can provide technical direction and leadership
- Ability to write CONOPS, Specifications or Requirements and derive into software design, code, test plans, and then execute Systems level testing/debugging
- Proficiency with Systems and Test tools supporting testing in a lab environment
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
