Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Integrate aircraft systems by conducting design, analysis, substantiation, and coordination of projects for DoD and commercial derivative aircraft. Lead multi-disciplinary teams to meet schedule and performance goals while utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering for architecture and traceability. Plan, coordinate, and schedule test activities, develop ground test procedures, and support active flight line testing. Achieve logical realization of customer airworthiness compliance into system solutions and support major gate reviews. Monitor compliance to applicable codes and standards while performing overall quality control of team work. Interpret client needs, develop engineering deliverables, and initiate corrective actions using requirements database tools. Maximize project efficiency and profitability by developing scope, parameters, and delegating phases to appropriate engineering disciplines. Support the full project-plan lifecycle and provide assistance to other company elements as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes, including requirements development, requirement allocation, change management, verification and validation
  • Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including meeting schedule and performance goals
  • Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for architecture to requirements traceability and interface development
  • Experience using requirements database tools (DOORS, Jama, Cameo Requirements Modeler, e.g.)
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Required)
  • 10 + years of experience
  • Must be able to obtain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times
  • Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, installations, trainings, and/or site visits
