Job Summary
Create schematic diagrams, electromechanical drawings, and 2D/3D CAD models for antenna and RF systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Develop and maintain contract-ready Technical Design Packages while incorporating supplier revisions and engineering changes to support system acquisition and lifecycle configuration control. Evaluate mechanical interfaces, materials, and PCB integration requirements, then coordinate with electrical, supplier, and government stakeholders to resolve technical issues. Serve as subject matter expert for assigned drawing packages during technical and configuration reviews. Requires 7+ years of relevant experience, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or STEM, and ability to obtain Active DoD Secret Clearance. Full-time role supporting mission-focused defense initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another STEM field
- 7+ years of relevant mechanical, systems, electromechanical, CAD, or defense engineering experience
- Advanced experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D drafting and 3D modeling
- Experience developing and maintaining Technical Design Packages
- Knowledge of RF and antenna systems, military drafting standards, and configuration management
- Familiarity with PCB design, mechanical packaging, and Altium-based electrical-mechanical coordination
- Strong technical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to maintain one
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD, Navy, NAVWAR, or Program Executive Office programs
- Familiarity with antenna, RF, communications, or electromechanical systems
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manufacturing, material selection, and design for manufacturability
