Job Summary
The Senior Systems Engineer will lead and provide extensive systems and integration theory for implementation and issue resolution. Responsibilities include guiding junior engineers, advising on engineering processes, creating comprehensive product requirements, ensuring requirements traceability, and supporting verification and testing efforts. Candidates should possess a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience, technical communication skills, and knowledge in aircraft systems.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or related field
- Minimum of 6 years of direct experience
- Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; must be able to identify basic symbols
- Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, test, and debug
- Knowledgeable in aircraft systems and installations
- Highly organized team player with excellent technical communication skills (written and verbal)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Systems Engineer position in electronics hardware or software development
- Competent in creating test procedures for avionics verification and qualification testing given requirements
- Familiarity with general lab equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer)
- Some experience with scripting; programming and analysis/modeling tools: Python, MATLAB / Simulink / SPICE (or similar)
- Understanding of RTCA DO-254 and DO-178C compliant processes for safety or mission critical aerospace flight hardware and software
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-20%
- Access to export-controlled information subject to ITAR and/or CUI regulations; must be authorized to access such information
