Job Summary
Review customer specifications and requirements, develop designs for power electronics and motor drives, and conceptualize architecture for complex systems ranging from several horsepower to multi-megawatts. Create system-level technical documentation and budget estimates, identify development risks, and verify performance through simulation and laboratory testing. Generate design requirements using a requirements traceability matrix and provide technical leadership by delegating tasks to drive project completion on time and budget. This role supports the Menomonee Falls, WI team in developing highly power dense solutions for the U.S. Navy and global navies, offering mentorship opportunities for upcoming engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the field of electrical engineering or an equivalent technical field
- 8+ years of detailed design experience in power conversion applications
- Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink simulation tools for simulation of electrical systems down to a component level
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
- Experience with Navy applications and market
