Job Summary
Develop requirements-based test frameworks to verify safety-critical firmware. Generate requirements to meet mission- and standards objectives, define tests to verify the requirements, and integrate/automate static analysis, code coverage, and test execution with artifact collection tools. Engage in low-level firmware (C) development and testing, understand SDLC/Agile processes, and apply software CM and QA methodologies. Leverage experience with test suites (e.g., LDRA) and requirements management systems (e.g., Jama); familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, scripting (Python), embedded C on microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC, etc.), and automation of test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, JTAG). Position is based in Costa Mesa, CA, US, supporting defense technologies and safety-critical systems."
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in generating requirements, tests, and trace matrices
- Solid understanding of the processes of developing low-level firmware (C) architecture, design, and test
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of software CM principles and QA methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
