Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer for document-management platforms (Laserfiche and/or iManage) providing Tier 2 production support, reliability engineering, security, and governance across the Amsterdam, Luxembourg, and UK/EMEA footprint. Own incidents from detection to closure, lead RCA and post-incident improvements, manage platform configuration and runbooks, support upgrades and vendor releases, assist with access reviews/audits, and collaborate with security, vendors, and business stakeholders. Build and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles; improve monitoring, automation, and operational maturity; ensure compliance and information governance while coordinating across time zones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- ITIL Foundation (or equivalent service management experience)
- 5+ years in systems engineering, application support, or platform administration
- Demonstrated hands-on experience administering and supporting Laserfiche and/or iManage in a production environment
- Strong understanding of document management concepts (metadata/classification, search/indexing, permissions/RBAC, retention)
- Experience supporting end-user and business workflows on document platforms
- Strong troubleshooting across authentication/SSO and directory services (e.g., AD/Azure AD/Entra ID)
- Windows Server services and application stacks
- Web applications, APIs/integrations, and client components
- Monitoring/logging and incident diagnostics
- Experience with ITSM processes (incident, problem, change) and SLAs
- Vendor training/certification for Laserfiche and/or iManage (preferred)
- Microsoft / Security fundamentals certifications (a plus)
- Ability to coordinate across time zones and global teams
- Strong documentation discipline and ability to drive issues to resolution
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-focused environment (preferred)
