Job Summary
Test, fabricate, assemble, inspect, debug, rework, modify, and evaluate complex RF and digital circuit boards for signals intelligence, radar, and communications prototype development systems. Lead system engineering and advanced R&D during pre-delivery design, integration, and acceptance while investigating and resolving system problems with technical personnel. Provide feedback on operational functionality and own engineering documents including test procedures and product lifecycle management. Coordinate with diverse engineering disciplines for support and maintenance of product lines, presenting findings to senior leadership through meetings and white papers. Requires US citizenship, Bachelor's degree in EE or related field, and 5+ years of RF hardware experience. Travel up to 10% to vendor and customer sites in the Continental US.
Required Qualifications
- US citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or another relevant field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a related engineering field
- Experience characterizing and debugging RF PCB issues to optimize performance
- Experience testing designs, and troubleshooting hardware problems
- Experience with reading and writing schematics
- Understanding of generating RF design, verification, test reports by working with RF and systems and integration teams to generate such reports
- Experience with PCB layout and fabrication process
- Experience working in production environment and product development
- Experience with Configuration Management, Drafting, Test and Network engineering processes
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills
- Must be available for periodic travel to vendor and customer sites in support of product management
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Masters' degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or another relevant field
- Experience with the development and integration of prototype and/or production RF mission systems
- Experience with the development and integration of RF mission payloads into manned and/or unmanned airborne platforms
