Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer to build, migrate and support a cloud-based Web Dashboard that processes healthcare EDI transactions; design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve EDI healthcare records; integrate with internal APIs and data services; support an Angular-based dashboard front-end; collaborate with C#/.Net and AWS data engineers to ensure accurate, reliable data delivery; write clean, well-documented code, perform unit/integration testing, and support production deployment on AWS; operate within an Agile framework and using Git/GitHub; 8+ years of experience and U.S. Citizenship required for this remote, 100% U.S.-based opportunity; security clearance required (Public Trust)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong back-end focus (Java and/or NodeJS)
- 8+ years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
- Experience with Java and/or NodeJS back-end integration and Angular front-end UI
- Experience with AWS and API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch or related services
- Experience with Git/GitHub and collaborative workflows
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders and cross-functional engineers
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and JIRA
- US Citizenship required for this opportunity
- Security clearance: Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements in API and web applications
- Familiarity with healthcare payer/PBM systems, EDI data (X.12)
- Front-end Angular experience and RESTful API design
