Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer to build, migrate, and support a cloud-based Web Dashboard for healthcare EDI data. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java/NodeJS to transform and serve EDI healthcare records; integrate with internal APIs and data services; support an Angular-based dashboard and front-end components; collaborate with back-end engineers (C#/.Net) and AWS data engineers to ensure reliable, accurate data delivery; perform unit and integration testing; support deployment and monitoring on AWS; apply Agile practices, code reviews, and Git workflows. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of software development experience, strong back-end Java/NodeJS and API design experience in healthcare/EDI contexts, hands-on Angular experience, AWS familiarity, and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- U.S. Citizenship required
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong back-end focus (Java and/or NodeJS)
- 8+ years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
- Experience with Java and/or NodeJS back-end integration work and Angular front-end UI
- Hands-on Angular experience with API integration and front-end components
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub and modern collaboration workflows
- Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Jest)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and JIRA
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data standards preferred
- Experience with Docker, containers, or cloud-based DevOps environments
- Ability to work with distributed teams
- Strong communication skills
- Security clearance eligibility
