Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer (Angular-NodeJS-FullStack) for Syms Strategic Group (SSG). Remote US-based role focused on building, supporting, and migrating a cloud-based web dashboard that processes healthcare EDI transactions. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining RESTful APIs in Java/NodeJS, integrating with internal APIs and EDI pipelines, supporting an Angular front-end, collaborating with C#/.NET and AWS data engineers, writing clean, testable code, and participating in Agile development with Git/GitHub. Requires 8+ years of software development, strong back-end Java/NodeJS and Angular experience, RESTful API design for healthcare data, AWS cloud proficiency, and US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required for this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus (Java and/or NodeJS)
- 8+ years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
- Experience with Java and/or NodeJS back-end integration work and Angular front-end UI
- Hands-on Angular experience with API integration and front-end components
- Cloud (AWS/Azure) experience and related services
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative workflows
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, or equivalent)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and JIRA
- Strong communication and ability to work with stakeholders
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare payer/PBM systems
- Experience in a distributed team environment
- Ability to work independently
- U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity
