Job Summary
Senior Systems Administrator to serve as the technical backbone of IT operations. Owns systems that keep Horizontal Digital running, including endpoint management, identity and access, Microsoft 365, security tooling, and compliance platforms, while mentoring a growing IT team and leading internal infrastructure projects like migration to Microsoft Intune and rollout of data protection tooling. Responsibilities include serving as a senior technical resource and escalation point, overseeing endpoint management strategy, administering Active Directory and Okta SSO, managing Microsoft 365 licensing and configuration, leading DLP tooling implementations (Microsoft Purview) for ISO 27001 compliance, and developing automation via PowerShell and Bash to enforce security policies and generate operational reports. Requirements include 5+ years of IT systems administration experience, expertise with MDM platforms, Windows and macOS support, strong AD/IdP and Azure/M365 skills, PowerShell proficiency, and familiarity with DLP concepts; dedicated to mentoring, cross-team collaboration, and adapting to a fast-paced growing organization.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experience
- Experience with MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Workspace One or equivalent
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory and IdP (OKTA, OneLogin or equivalent SSO) including lifecycle management/SCIM, group policy design, authentication policy configuration
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure administration including conditional access, RBAC, and resource management
- Advanced experience administering Microsoft 365, particularly Exchange Online and licensing
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and policy enforcement; Bash or Python is a plus
- Familiarity with data loss prevention concepts and tools such as Microsoft Purview including sensitivity labels and classification policies
- Experience supporting global teams
- Relevant certifications are a plus such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Administrator, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+
