Job Summary
Develop and support various systems administration initiatives for clients in the NYC metro area, including end-user support, small business networking, and server technologies. Manage Windows systems, networks, Office 365, and Azure environments while configuring switches, firewalls, and virtual technologies like VMware ESX or Hyper-V. Perform end-to-end troubleshooting across storage, servers, and networks, applying strong research skills to solve unfamiliar problems quickly. Adhere to change controls and security procedures while automating processes. Full-time role based in Fair Lawn, NJ, with compensation ranging from $90,000 to $120,000. Medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Windows System Administration
- At least 5 years of experience in Network Administration
- At least 3 years of experience managing Office 365
- At least 2 years of experience managing Azure
- Experience with virtual technologies such as VMware ESX, or Hyper-V
- Strong understanding of base concepts and protocols such as TCP, NAT, ARP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VLAN, VPN
- Ability to perform end-to-end troubleshooting of issues, where the problem may lie in the storage, server, network or anywhere in between
- Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
- Ability to quickly find solutions to unfamiliar problems (research skills)
- Ability to follow change controls and security procedures
- Ability to research and learn new concepts and apply them to future projects
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Experience configuring and managing switches and firewalls
- Must be local or willing to relocate to Fair Lawn, NJ
