Senior System Software Engineer — CPU Platform Pre-Silicon Systems Validation Lead

Job Summary
Lead technical delivery for System BIOS and CPU-platform issues reported by customers, ODM/OEM partners, and factory teams. Perform in-person and time-zone triage for boot, firmware update, BMC, and OS interaction problems by reproducing failures, collecting logs, and creating evidence-ready escalation packages. Execute controlled recovery, flash, and validation experiments while coordinating domain experts to drive timely closure. Convert recurring issues into improved diagnostics, playbooks, and customer-readiness practices. Integrate AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and diagnostic workflow improvements while maintaining independent judgment. Requires 6+ years in embedded firmware and strong C/C++, Python, and Linux skills.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of embedded, firmware, BIOS, BMC, or platform system-software development and debugging experience
- Strong C/C++, Python, Linux, and system-debug fundamentals
- Experience with boot flows, SBIOS/UEFI or comparable firmware
- Experience with firmware update/recovery
- Experience with UART/SOL logs
- Experience with hardware/software integration
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous platform issues independently and engage the right domain experts
- Clear written and verbal communication with global engineering teams and external technical partners
- Demonstrated experience using AI-enabled tools to develop engineering tools or solve technical problems
