Job Summary
Senior System Safety Engineer at Edge Case leveraging an AI safety intelligence platform to perform and validate safety analyses (FHA/FTA/STPA/HARA), define system/subsystem safety requirements and LoR, generate advanced Safety Assessment Reports and Digital Safety Cases, and guide customer CONOPS/ODD across Defense, Auto, and Energy sectors. Role emphasizes human-in-the-loop validation of AI-generated safety outputs, collaboration with product teams to shape features/UI, and applying frameworks (MIL-STD 882E, DO-178, ISO 26262/SOTIF) to ensure compliance for autonomous/complex systems. Requires 4–10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field; preferred advanced safety certifications and MBSE/tooling familiarity. Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 4 to 10 years of dedicated system safety engineering experience
- Experience implementing compliance frameworks such as MIL-STD 882E, JSSSEH, ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), ARP-4761, or DO-178
- Experience generating formal Safety Program Plans (SSPP), Safety Cases, and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR)
