Job Summary
The Senior Systems Engineer will support a software and AI/ML product development program, providing technical support, integrating systems, and aligning architecture with user needs. Responsibilities include analyzing user workflows, collaborating with Agile teams, and managing requirements across the development lifecycle. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of systems engineering experience, with skills in Agile practices and technical documentation. An active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly is necessary. Relocation assistance is offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, or a related STEM discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of systems engineering experience supporting software-intensive systems across the full development lifecycle
- Ability to serve as an operationally informed stand-in for the customer
- Demonstrated experience working hands-on within Agile development teams
- Strong background in requirements management
- Experience supporting system integration, verification, and validation (IV&V)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, UX designers, and test teams
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation
- Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with current CI Poly
Desired Qualifications
- Proven business acumen
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering tools
- Experience defining and executing automated verification strategies
- Familiarity with government Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) processes
- Experience designing and integrating software-defined interfaces
- Experience contributing to or developing software and system architectures using digital engineering tools
- Familiarity with cloud-based system architectures
- Experience supporting operational deployment and sustainment of multi-product baselines
- Experience with satellite communications (SATCOM) and/or geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) systems
- Experience using requirements management tools
- Experience working in Git-based configuration management environments
- Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certification
