Job Summary
Manage servers in a high-traffic, always-available infrastructure and oversee a shared MongoDB deployment. Sizing, designing, and deploying hardware and software solutions to support business growth while monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Collaborate with the Development team on deployments and analysis for various IT projects involving hardware, software, network systems, and cloud solutions. Requires 5+ years of experience in complex production environments with Linux administration skills and proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and SQL databases. Based in Tirana with a hybrid workplace model.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience working in a System Engineering role in a complex production infrastructure
- Linux system administration (preferably Debian)
- Web components like Apache, Nginx, Varnish, Docker
- Kubernetes
- SQL and no SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB)
- Troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to quickly acquire new skills and learn new tools
- Networking skills
- Proficiency in English language
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in a high traffic, always-up, always-available service
- Willing to work outside of the standard business hours when required
Desired Qualifications
- Computer Science Degree / Technology Degree
- AWS cloud infrastructure knowledge
- Hashicorp products knowledge (Nomad, Consul, Vault)
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka, Ansible, Terraform
- Programming or scripting background in one or more of the following languages: Python, Bash, Perl
- KVM Virtualization (Proxmox VE)
- Understanding of routing and switch configuration
- Italian
