Senior System Engineer (DevOps)

Job Summary
Install, configure, and manage development, staging, and production environments while maintaining and enhancing existing system architecture. Collaborate with the team to address scaling, testing, and performance issues, ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place. Provide daily operational support and participate in project implementations, which may require travel flexibility. Automate processes for testing, deployment, and configuration to streamline systems and ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements. Research and implement solutions to improve system reliability, availability, and service standards by exploring new technologies. Maintain and enhance system architecture while preparing technical documentation and managing web services including Apache, NGINX, and SQL databases.
Required Qualifications
- Higher Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field with strong academic performance
- At least 5 years of experience in administering both Windows and Linux OS (VMware/virtualization & cloud environments like AWS/Google Cloud)
- Hands-on experience with Docker, cloud deployment, coding, and scripting (e.g., PHP, Java, NodeJS, Shell scripts)
- Proficiency in managing web services (Apache, NGINX, PHP, SQL databases)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git, TFS, Jenkins)
- Strong understanding of network and system administration
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and adhere to project plans
- Travel flexibility
