Job Summary
Senior System Administrator responsible for IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment, supporting factory operations that run 24x7. Responsibilities include managing Windows Server internals (DNS, DHCP, AD, server replication), Linux fundamentals, troubleshooting complex problems, configuring software per end-user requests, collaborating with Cybersecurity to meet security requirements, and providing documentation and training on advanced IT processes. Role includes potential weekend work and on-call rotation, with travel to other U.S. domestic locations up to 10% as needed. Travel and on-site work are typical, with an emphasis on high availability and coordination with manufacturing teams.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Must have Linux and/or Windows experience
- Experience with Active Directory, VMware, Administration, backup and recovery
- DoD Directive 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and an OS Certification are preferred
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies
- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
- Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange
- Scripting Experience
