Job Summary
Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise/Microsoft Windows environment, participating in all phases of engineering software installation with emphasis on testing, documentation, and acceptance. Collaborate with System Admins, Cyber Security professionals, and Program Stakeholders to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope involving hardware and operating system integration. Manage server, storage, and cross-platform authentication while executing data backup and restoration for classified programs. Maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes, ensuring systems remain operational 24x7 with occasional work beyond standard hours. Full-time 100% onsite position requiring a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Active and existing security clearance on day 1
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with WSUS
- Experience with VMware
- Experience with BackupExec
- Experience with NetBackup
- Prior systems administration experience
- Windows or Linux administration
- Backup and Recovery enterprise suites
- Experience with Server architectures
- Troubleshooting methods
- Ability to assist in developing solutions and documentation
- Experience using VMWare vCenter
- Experience using vSphere
- Experience using Linux Desktops
- Experience using Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11)
- Experience using Splunk
- Experience using ESX
- Other virtual computing methods
- Scripting/ automation PowerShell
- Bash experience
- Full time 100% Onsite position
- Systems are operational 24x7
- Occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours
