Job Summary
Plan, test, and implement enterprise-level server, storage, and network configurations across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. Develop custom scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate repetitive administration tasks. Implement routine security patching, manage Active Directory access controls, and perform vulnerability scanning. Design, test, and maintain robust data backup schedules and business continuity plans to guarantee zero data loss. Monitor infrastructure health, fine-tune resource allocations, and serve as the primary escalation point for Tier 2/3 engineering problems. Coordinate with external vendors to evaluate new technologies and manage system migrations. Join the IT operations team at Luma Financial Technologies, a fintech platform adopted by broker/dealer firms and private banks globally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5–10 years of professional systems administration experience in a medium to large enterprise environments
- Advanced expertise managing and troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS environments, Active Directory, Group Policies, or AWS deployments
- Deep experience with virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V, alongside cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Strong grasp of core network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls
- Excellent root-cause problem-solving capabilities under pressure
- Communication skills required to translate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders
