Senior System Administrator

Job Summary
The Senior System Administrator will conduct assessments of technology landscapes, lead efforts to optimize emerging technologies, and ensure security and efficiency of IT systems. The role requires expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud technologies like Azure, Microsoft 365 services, and strong knowledge of virtualized environments. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with significant experience in IT infrastructure management, troubleshooting, and automation scripting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working in complex enterprise-level infrastructure
- Good understanding of the ITIL framework
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Strong experience in hybrid identity management
- Direct experience with cloud technologies (Azure)
- Good experience with Microsoft 365 services
- Experience with JSON and Bicep-based code in an Azure context
- Ability to read, create, modify, and deploy ARM-based templates to Azure
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub
- Proficient in Windows Server operating systems and Windows 10/11
- Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining virtualised environments
- Strong experience with Microsoft System Centre suite
- Working understanding of Microsoft SQL Server technologies
- Administration of storage systems (e.g., SAN)
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions
- Strong knowledge of security patching methodologies
- Experience working with PKI infrastructure
- Ability to troubleshoot network infrastructure
- Familiarity with data communication protocols
- PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Certifications: Azure Fundamentals
- Azure Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
