Job Summary
Administer Windows and Linux servers, manage VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments, and maintain enterprise storage solutions for Navy LVC training applications. Perform system patching, lifecycle management, and vulnerability remediation while implementing RMF controls and STIG compliance. Configure application servers for distributed training events and coordinate service restoration during mission-critical exercises. Requires 7 years of experience supporting DoD classified networks, a Top Secret clearance, and relevant certifications. Based on-site in Lexington Park, MD with periodic travel to Virginia Beach.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience as a system administrator/IT technician supporting DoD classified networks
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM related area of study (in lieu of the full 7 years of experience)
- Demonstrated experience administering virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent virtualization technologies, including system provisioning, maintenance, and performance optimization
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise server infrastructure, storage solutions, backup and recovery systems, and mission-critical applications in classified and unclassified environments
- Experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and vulnerability remediation best practices
- Experience supporting distributed or enterprise environments requiring high system availability, lifecycle management, patching, troubleshooting, and rapid restoration of services during operational or mission-critical events
- MS Certified Solutions Associate (Windows Server 2016 or later), Red Hat Certified System Administrator, or VMware Certified Professional certification
- One of the following industry certifications: SecurityX/CASP+, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems or Information Technology, or Software Engineering (in lieu of one of the listed certifications)
- Security+ certification
- U.S. citizenship
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners

- Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving capabilities
- Highly organized, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- This position will be based fully on-site at our Lexington Park, MD office
- Periodic travel to the NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, VA will be required
- Candidates interested in relocating to the Virginia Beach area may also have the option to work from the government site

- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, or NAVAIR systems, including simulation, modeling, training, or other mission support environments
