Job Summary
Integrate, deploy, and configure switching systems, including routers and servers, ensuring scalability and peak performance. Troubleshoot network issues using testing equipment and analyze data to identify root causes. Document all installation, maintenance, and repairs in detailed records. Provide technical support to customers and cross-functional teams, answering questions and driving solutions for complex problems. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to develop their skills. Conduct daily market calls, provide status updates, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Perform on-the-fly scripting for antenna swaps, validate RETs, define external alarms, and execute site reconfigurations. Lead field operations teams and oversee IXR router commissioning, migrations, and GSM/UMTS/4G/5G alarm clearing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry
- Experience with Samsung OEM
- Expert knowledge on integration of Samsung OEM HW
- Expert knowledge of network technologies, including switching, routing, and networking protocols
- Must be strong self-starter
- Ability to drive results
- Must be willing to learn new technologies
- Must be able to communicate with cross-functional teams
- Must be key interface and POC for customer
- Must be able to drive the entire project
- Excellent communication skills
- Must attend daily market calls
- Must provide status updates to the customer
- Must have leadership skills
- Must have attitude of getting things done
- Must have 7+ years experience providing remote integration support on LTE & 5G
- Must manage projects on Samsung OEM
- Must have hands on integration experience working on Verizon Networks with samsung OEM
- Must have strong experience working on integration and alarm clearing of GSM/UMTS/4G/5G on Samsung hardware
- Must have experience working on Macro integrations on Verizon systems
- Must be able to oversee and train other engineers on team
- Must be able to perform level 1 and Level 2 triage on immediate basis
- Must be able to engage other groups
- Must be able to manage multiple projects (IXR migration, Carrier integration, anchor projects) in fast paced environment
- Must have strong skills in both Integration, RF and good understanding of transport disciplines
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be able to understand, create and follow MOPs
- Must be able to create Change Records and Tickets
- Must be able to work with local GCs, Real Time Performance Team, and Field Operations Team
- Must be able to provide leadership and guidance to Field Operations Team (Field Integrator)
- Must have hands on experience working on Ericsson BBUs 5216-6630-6648 &6651
- Must have hands on experience working on Samsung equipment
- Must have hands on experience working on IXRE router commissioning, troubleshooting & migrations
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to support on the fly scripting for antenna/RRU swaps
- Must be able to perform RET validations
- Must be able to define external alarms
- Must be able to perform frequency retunes
- Must be able to perform site reconfiguration as needed
- Must be able to lock/unlock sectors
