Job Summary
Build cloud-based software systems and APIs for customer healthcare data delivery, onboarding, and partner integrations using Kotlin, Java, and modern frameworks. Gather and document technical requirements while collaborating with product managers, tech support, and customers to drive feature development and provide integration assistance. Develop frontend and backend applications in distributed systems, optimize quality management processes, and support product assurance by diagnosing and resolving bugs. Participate in on-call rotation for applications and maintain CI/CD pipelines within an Agile environment. Join the Platform Service team to deliver low latency, fault-tolerant shared services that keep Dexcom the most connected CGM solution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum of 5-8 years related experience
- Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience
- PhD and 0-2 years experience
- Rich experience developing full stack applications
- Cloud environment experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Good knowledge of modern Auth and SSO frameworks such as OAuth 2.0, OpenId and/or SAML
- Excellent programming skills in Kotlin, Java, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Scala or other similar languages
- Experience in building frontend and backend applications using modern frameworks and technologies
- Background in building frontend and backend applications in a distributed systems using message brokers
- Experience with NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB) or RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle)
- Experience with relevant, modern, software test tools and equipment
- Experience in building cloud-based, container components, CI and CD Pipelines
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Time management skills to meet schedules and participate in Agile software development
- Exposure to GitHub Actions, Helm, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience and comfort being part of a team that builds components as part of a distributed environment
