Senior Sustainability Engineer

Job Summary
Educate project teams on green building strategies, systems, and standards while tracking and documenting sustainability goals for LEED, WELL, and Living Building Challenge certifications. Lead the collection and reporting of carbon data to support milestone reduction goals for 2030 and 2045, and coach junior engineers on reduction tactics. Assist the Green Project Solutions team with training, research, and the development of forms, templates, and meeting materials. This role supports the sustainability efforts of Skanska USA Building, working alongside project teams to ensure proper documentation toward eventual certification-based efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of building construction or sustainability-related experience
- 3+ years of experience with the LEED certification process for a minimum of two building projects
- 1+ years of experience benchmarking used in carbon emissions tracking concerning construction processes
- 1+ years of experience applying common terminology used in LEED and other certification programs
- 1+ years of experience creating forms, templates, and meeting materials
- Bachelor's Degree – Business Administration, Public Administration, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, or another job-related field or 6 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience
