Job Summary
Conduct site inspections and measure out-of-town retail parks and leisure assets in accordance with the Code of Measuring Practice. Draft reports for rent reviews, lease re-gears, and renewals while researching comparable rental evidence to assess market rent. Read, summarize, and analyze leases under the Landlord & Tenant Act, acting as an Expert Witness in third-party disputes. Negotiate settlements with tenants and their agents, preparing fee accounts and drafting quoting rents, Calderbank offers, and Heads of Terms. Report directly to clients and Partners, maintaining a comparable rental evidence database to identify new business opportunities. Requires RICS qualification, full driving licence, and UK travel; full sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- MRICS qualified
- 1-3 years post qualification experience
- exposure to national retail and leisure markets
- strong written and verbal skills
- knowledge of Landlord & Tenant processes including lease reading, rent reviews, lease renewals and acting as an Expert Witness in Third Party Disputes
- Full driving licence
- willingness to travel independently or with colleagues/clients
- Ability to accurately assess market rent of the subject premises
- Experience in Lease Advisory
- RICS qualified
