Job Summary
Conduct Fleet in Service (FIS) and Certification on Materials and Components (CMC) surveys for local and international clients, acting as DNV's key contact for Defence and Industry partners in Darwin. Perform classification surveys and audits per DNV procedures, liaising with Port and Flag states while engaging directly with vessel owners, operators, and shipyards. Supervise team members to ensure efficient execution and maintain strict confidentiality of client documentation. Communicate critical integrity information to line management and support other stations via cross-travel as necessary. Maintain customer-oriented focus as a technical resource for onboard inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- qualified marine surveyor/auditor
- Defence-related stakeholder experience
- knowledge of DNV rules, regulations, instructions, guidelines, and quality requirements
- ability to perform classification surveys and audits as per DNV procedure and guidelines
- ability to liaise with Port and Flag states
- ability to engage with vessel owners, operators, and shipyards
- ability to supervise the work of others
- ability to communicate to line management
- ability to act as a technical resource for customer questions
- ability to support growth opportunities with local markets
- willingness to cross travel as necessary
