Job Summary
Senior Survey Crew Chief to join AMT in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities include performing survey computations with Data Collector for construction stakeout, providing office support for cutsheets and stakeout exhibits, preparing daily notes and sketches, conducting boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys, leading and mentoring field crew members, collaborating with project managers, contractors, and design teams to interpret plans and resolve field challenges, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and AMT procedures. Required skills include experience operating Robotic Total Station and GPS-RTK equipment, proficiency with AutoCAD and data collection tools, and strong leadership and communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience performing construction stakeout surveying
- Experience in construction stakeout field surveying procedures
- Experience operating Robotic Total Station and data collector; prior experience with Leica robotic total stations and data collectors preferred
- Experience operating GPS-RTK equipment
- Experience with AutoCAD, iPad, and Office Suite applications a plus
- Demonstrated leadership experience in the field managing a field crew
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions
- Ability to adapt to dynamic construction environments and troubleshoot on-site
- Positive attitude and professional bearing
- OSHA certification
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
